KITCHEN CABINETS!!!

FINALLY!!!  It's so weird to see cabinets sitting in the middle of that big empty room now!!!

Installing the island cabinets.  They are knotty alder, the main wall cabinets are painted soft white.

Mark (the installer) and Kade getting the back panel on the island.
I LOVE how finished it looks with that little bit of fancy!

Look at it!  (I think we could have added a little more length to the island...but it's FINE!)
Now I can call the countertop company and have them come and measure.  We ordered Silestone Quarts on sale in the spring - expensive....but I think we will love it!

Hmmm...which side of the sink should we put out?  Smooth...

or fluted?  The smooth side will stick out quite a bit farther than the fluted side,

Here's another problem we ran into.  We got a special cabinet for a farmhouse sink.
The sink measurement from the manufacturer are 30" wide, 10" high
it's ACTUAL measurements are 29.5" wide and tapered down the sides.
So THAT created a problem (ANOTHER problem, imagine that!)
The cabinet for the farmhouse sink had the hole cut to the manufacturers measurements.  Since there's no actual lip or anything that overhangs the cabinet, we're going to have to figure out how to fix this problem too.  UGH!
